Is it sad I’m considering going to Paris on Sunday just to get falafel from l’As du Falafel? Answer: Of course not, you wouldn’t think so either if you’d had their falafel.

Plane, Train or Automobile?

Well, more just plane or train.

I’m trying to decide if I want to fly from Paris to Nice the weekend of February 5th for La Course du Soleil Half Marathon, or if I should take the train. There are pros and cons to both - the flight is only an hour and a bit, but I’m not a huge fan of flying and it’s a bit of a mission to get from Orléans to the Paris airport, so that adds travel time. The train is five hours, but trains are so much more relaxing than planes and really simple to take. Both are about the same price.

Do you prefer plane, or train?

Recent Purchases:

Because apparently I forgot to pack winter clothes.

  1. Black cable-knit dolman sweater (American Eagle - online and 25% off)
  2. Black riding boots with pull-on straps (some random French shoe store)
  3. Plain black boat-neck dolman sweater (also AE, online and 25% off)
  4. Heathered grey dolman sweater (H&M)
  5. Boat-neck black dolman sweater with shoulder button detail (Gap - online and 30% off)
  6. Ankle-wrap metallic gold flats (Gap - online, on sale, and an additional 30% off)
  7. Knee-high cable knit white socks (H&M)

Conclusions/Comments:

  • I have enough dolman sweaters to last me the rest of my life.
  • Cyber Monday won this round.
  • All of my online purchases will be waiting for me when I get back to Canada! It will be like Christmas! Oh wait…
  • I finally found a sweater I liked at H&M. It’s a holiday miracle.
  • It might be the wrong season for metallic ankle-wrap flats, but they were on sale and marked down an addition 30%, making them - 13 Canadian dollars.
  • I need to stop shopping. Like, really.
